Organizational Structure

The current organizational structure of the Student Support Services Division is designed to bring services closer to the schools.  It realigns services to promote an improved collaboration with the five Regions and the Superintendent's Schools.  It provides a structure that defines the Division's role as a leader in safeguarding the rights of all students and ensuring equitable access to all educational opportunities.

The organizational structure ensures that major responsibilities are met and that an ongoing systemic review and renewal are incorporated.  The design strengthens school-based services while providing technical assistance and support to students, parents, administrators, and school staff.

Chief Student Services Officer

Provides leadership for implementing the mission and goals of the Division in accordance with Federal and State laws/regulations and District policy.  District-wide services such as the Academic Support & Community Service Center, Charter Schools, Office of Compliance and Monitoring, English Language Learner Program, Adult English Language Acquisition Services Department, GATE Department, Title I Services, and all special education services are aligned with this office.
